The most important aspect of Barbers-Q system is the client self registration kiosk app. The client self registration kiosk allows the salon owner to provide self check-in facility to the client so the staff members can concentrate on providing quick and better services.

The client registration app Android version is available for download from the member section. Below are the minimum requirements of an android device which can be used for self registration app.

  • Android v4.4 OS
  • 10″ or higher screen size
  • good Wifi connection with broadband internet

From the android device, login to your Barbers-Q member account and then click on your “User Name” from the top right corner to drop down a menu and then click on “Download App” menu to download and install the android app. To be able to download the android app from Barbers-Q website, you must switch on the following item from the device setup screen;

Settings >> Security >> Device Administration >> Unknown Sources (checkbox must be checked)

Once the app is installed, launch and login into the app using the same credential which you use to login to the web application. Upon successful login, you will be presented with the list of client currently registered along with client registration form with on-screen keyboard on the right site of the screen. It it recommended that you mount the android device on a wall or a desk to be used a as client registration kiosk.

Client Name is the only compulsory field which needs to be fill in to register a client. The app  also provides facility to search previous visit by phone no. The client can choose a preferred stylist and/or services from the drop down list. After selecting all the necessary details, click on “Register In Queue” button to register the name. the name will appear on the list presented on the left hand panel as well we on the admin control panel (“Today’s Walk-In” list).

So this is a simplest and quickest way to book the client into the Barbers-Q system without any staff intervention.

Once the client is booked/registered, you can call him/her for service from the “today’s Walk-In” list page from the admin control panel in member’s area. For more details please click on this link….

If you don’t have an android tablet, you can still do client registration from the member’s area. Click on client-reg-menu menu from the top menu bar to load client registration page which provides the same functionality as the android app.
